Steve Dinion, percussionist and teacher

Musical experience:
  • Associate Principal Timpanist and Percussionist, Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra (formerly Honolulu Symphony), 1992 - present (Acting Principal Timpanist, 1995-97, 2008-present); includes: classical, pops, and educational full orchestra performances, ensembles in the schools, and yearly performances with Hawai‘i Opera Theatre and Ballet Hawai‘i
  • Percussionist for touring Broadway productions of Wicked, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, and Grease

Teaching experience:
  • Percussion instructor, University of Hawai'i at Manoa, 2012 -
  • Private percussion instruction, 1997 - present
